Sup, LJ? Still going towards that AA in Child Development. I could go for a certificate and work right away, but I'm still having trouble doing homework at home because of the million comic ideas that pop-up in my head. Hooray for ADD. :/

Anyway, I can totally be awesome teaching preschool since I have this magic power to not slap kids around when they annoy the fuck out of me, but I have to be more responsible myself I think. If my professor just wants me to work right away because there are barely any male preschool teachers... That's fine by me too lol.

Plastic Beach - the whole album!
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=124114812

My Review:
Plastic Beach is pretty good for the first 30 minutes, and then I was all wtf. The first half of the album matches the theme of "Stylo" and "Superfast Jellyfish." Snoop Dogg gives the listener a nice smooth intro song to set up the mood of what may come. This is followed by more R&B/rap tracks that are a little more upbeat, which include "2-D" performing "Rhinestone Eyes" in spoken word instead of him singing. And then, you get mindfucked by "Glitter Freeze." This song sounds nothing like the first seven tracks. After that, the album goes in a complete opposite direction with very slow tempos and very random electronica sounds. The last two songs come back with the R&B theme and the album a bit nicer. Plastic Beach made me feel more alienated than the s/t album and Demon Days. The first half of the album sounds like a mix of the s/t album and Demon Days --mixing rap, R&B, Electronica, and very odd lyrics. It sounds a bit different, but it gives the familiar odd but enjoyable aura of the Gorillaz style. The second half was just weird to me with songs that sounded like they had nop direction, or the songs were so slow and depressing that they sounded nothing like Gorillaz. I give the fist half I give 5/5; the second half... I don't even know lol.
